You love with your hands. A Taurus Venus means Venus was in Taurus when you were born, and it shows up as affection you can touch: dinner cooked from scratch, a blanket pulled over someone’s feet, the same person chosen again every morning for twenty years. Taurus is one of the two signs Venus rules, so astrologers say Venus is “at home” here, and this page explains what that does for you, what it doesn’t promise, who you fall for, how you spend, and the five Sun signs that can have it.
Your Sun is who you are and your Moon is what you need. Venus is who you want: the face that makes you look twice, the way you flirt, the way you show you care, the things you find beautiful and the money you spend without guilt. With Venus in Taurus all of that runs through the body and the senses, slowly, and it does not run out.
There’s a neat astronomical reason only five Sun signs can carry this placement, and we show the sum further down. If you don’t know your Venus sign yet, our free birth chart calculator finds it from your birth date, time and place.

What Does a Taurus Venus Mean?
Venus is the planet astrologers read for attraction, pleasure and taste. Its sign in your chart describes the kind of person you’re drawn to, how you court and how you like to be courted, what you find beautiful and what you’ll pay for twice. Two people with the same Sun sign can want completely different partners, and in astrology Venus is where you look for why.
Taurus is a fixed earth sign ruled by Venus, and it sits opposite Scorpio. Put Venus here and love becomes physical, patient and loyal. Cafe Astrology’s Venus in the Signs page says “Love for Venus in Taurus centers on the physical world and creature comforts”, and that “They need a certain measure of predictability and dependability in their relationships, even if their Sun is in the more spontaneous signs of Aries or Gemini.” You don’t fall in love with an idea. You fall in love with a person who is there on Tuesday, and still there in March.
One distinction before we go on. A Taurus Sun is a Taurus all day: identity, pace, the way they dig in. A Taurus Venus can belong to a restless Gemini or a fiery Aries who shows no Taurus at all until they fall for someone, and then suddenly they’re cooking, nesting and refusing to leave the couch. If your Moon is in Taurus too, the placement stacks: a Taurus Moon feels this way, and a Taurus Venus loves this way.
These are tendencies, not rules. The rest of your chart, and the rest of your life, has a vote.
Why Is Taurus Ruled by Venus?
Because of where Venus can and can’t be in the sky. Hellenistic astrologers laid out a chart for the birth of the world, the Thema Mundi, and handed out the signs from it. Wikipedia’s page on the Thema Mundi explains the logic. The Sun and the Moon were given “the two signs that correspond to the brightest and warmest times of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, Cancer and Leo”: the Moon in Cancer, the Sun in Leo. Then “Mercury is assigned to the two signs next to the luminaries, Gemini and Virgo, because it never travels more than one sign away from the Sun.” And then the line that answers the question: “Venus is assigned to the next two signs, Taurus and Libra, because it never gets more than two signs away.”
Count it on the wheel. From the Moon’s sign, Cancer, step back one sign to Gemini (Mercury) and one more to Taurus (Venus). From the Sun’s sign, Leo, step forward one to Virgo (Mercury) and one more to Libra (Venus). Venus gets the two signs two steps out from the lights, one on the Moon’s side and one on the Sun’s. Wikipedia’s page on domicile puts it the same way: “since Venus can never be found more than two signs from the Sun, it obtained the rulership of Libra and Taurus.”
So Taurus and Libra share a ruler and not much else. Libra is cardinal air: Venus by conversation, in company, as a relationship. Taurus is fixed earth: Venus by touch, at home, as a body. And Taurus sits on the Moon’s side of the wheel, which is the clue to why this home is the soft one. Wikipedia’s Taurus page notes that “the Moon is in its exaltation here at exactly 3°”. The planet of feelings and the planet of love both consider Taurus one of their best rooms in the house. That’s why a Taurus Venus doesn’t just want pleasure. It wants pleasure that makes it feel safe.
Is Venus in Taurus Good?
Yes, by the oldest grading system astrology has. Astrologers score how comfortable each planet is in each sign, and the scores are called essential dignities. A planet in a sign it rules is in its domicile, and Wikipedia’s page on domicile calls that “the strongest of the five essential dignities of a planet”. The essential dignity page gives the points: “A planet in its own domicile is said to have +5, exaltation +4”. For later astrologers such as Bonatti and Lilly, “The most important dignity was sign rulership; slightly less important was exaltation.” Venus in Taurus holds the top score.
Here’s where Venus stands in every sign that gives it a grade:
| Sign | Venus is | What Venus has to do there |
|---|---|---|
| Taurus | At home | Nothing. Love through the body, at its own pace |
| Libra | At home | Nothing. Love out loud, as a pair |
| Pisces | Exalted | Be the honored guest: love without a ceiling |
| Aries | In detriment | Love in a hurry, opposite its Libra home |
| Scorpio | In detriment | Love all or nothing, opposite its Taurus home |
| Virgo | In fall | Check the small print before enjoying anything |
Venus is also a night planet. Wikipedia’s page on the astrology of sect splits the planets into two teams. The day team is the Sun, Jupiter and Saturn. The night team is the Moon, Venus and Mars, and “the Moon is the luminary of sect in a night chart”. So in Taurus you have a night planet in the sign where the night’s own light, the Moon, is exalted. Both of the night team’s leading bodies treat Taurus as a favorite place. In our view that is what “at home” feels like from the inside: Venus here is not performing. It’s off duty, fed, warm and in no hurry, and it loves the way you’d expect someone that relaxed to love.
Two honest notes. First, a dignity is a note on how smoothly a planet runs, not a prize. Astrostyle’s guide to this placement says “If you were born with Venus in Taurus or the 2nd house, consider yourself lucky!” We’d put it differently: there is no measure of luck in love, and in our view a Venus at home means Venus does Venus things easily, which is not the same as things going your way. Second, the opposite question gets asked just as often. People also ask what the worst Venus placement is. By the table above, Venus has the hardest time in Aries and Scorpio (detriment) and Virgo (fall). “Worst” is still the wrong word. A Venus in detriment has to work at love, and people who work at love tend to get good at it. For what it’s worth, Wikipedia’s traditional dignity table has no planet in fall in Taurus.
Taurus Venus Traits
Strengths
- Loyalty. Cafe Astrology, in the same paragraph as its warning that this Venus can be possessive, ends on the line that matters: “they are constant partners.” You stay.
- Patience. Astrostyle says “Venus in Taurus woos at a prolonged pace and doesn’t want to miss out on a single courtship ritual.” You enjoy the slow part.
- Physical warmth. Cafe Astrology calls you “very physical lovers, with a great appreciation for scents, sounds, feels, and pleasing form.” You remember how someone smells before you remember what they said.
- Taste. You can tell good fabric, good bread and good company by touch, and you’re rarely wrong.
- Steadiness. Your love doesn’t have moods. When everything else in someone’s life is shaking, you’re the furniture.
Challenges
- Possessiveness. Cafe Astrology says plainly that “Venus in Taurus men and women can be possessive in love”. What’s yours is yours, and that includes people.
- Stubbornness in love. Once you’ve decided about someone, new evidence has a hard time getting in. Either direction.
- Comfort as avoidance. A problem can go unspoken for years if the house is warm enough. Comfort is your gift and your hiding place.
- Slowness to leave. The same loyalty that keeps you in a good relationship keeps you in a finished one.
- Spending on calm. Cafe Astrology says you spend lavishly only on “objects of beauty”, things that last, and food. The lapse is buying peace instead of making it.
Taurus Venus in Love
You fall slowly, through the senses, and then completely. There’s no love at first sight here, just a first dinner that goes well, a second that goes better, and a quiet decision somewhere around the fourth. Astrostyle’s guide puts the pace in one line: “Venus in Taurus woos at a prolonged pace and doesn’t want to miss out on a single courtship ritual.” The courtship is not the obstacle to the relationship. For you it’s the good part.
You show love by making things comfortable. Cafe Astrology’s personal ad for this placement reads: “I am a dependable guy/gal. My ideal date consists of good food, fine wine, and cuddling up with each other at home.” That’s the whole love language in two sentences: feed them, hold them, stay in. Astrostyle agrees that “Cuddling is foreplay for your sensual Venus in Taurus, and you are especially gifted at the art of touch.” You’d rather give a long massage than a long speech, and in our view you’re right to.
What you need back is predictability, touch and time. Cafe Astrology’s advice to anyone trying to win this Venus is that “Pleasing Venus in Taurus involves emphasizing your loyalty, and their worth to you.” Don’t rush you, don’t play games with you, don’t change the plan at the last minute. Astrostyle adds the condition underneath all of it: “For Venus in Taurus people, being relaxed is the key to being receptive to love.” If you’re on edge, you can’t be loved properly. So the partner who makes you feel calm wins, every time.
The pitfall is holding on past the end. Fixed earth does not let go of anything easily, and a Taurus Venus can stay with someone long after the warmth has gone, because leaving feels like losing a possession rather than a person. The growth edge is learning that comfort you have to defend isn’t comfort anymore. If you also have a Taurus Moon, that lesson is twice as hard and twice as worth it.
What Is Taurus Venus Attracted To?
Warmth first. Someone whose hug lasts a beat longer than expected, who notices you’re cold before you say so. Then calm: a person whose life isn’t on fire, who can sit in a room without filling it. Then the senses, in order: good food, good smells, a nice voice, soft clothes. And finally, the thing that decides it, someone who is exactly what they say they are. You don’t need to be impressed. You need to be able to relax.
Why does Scorpio energy pull so hard? Scorpio sits opposite Taurus on the wheel, and opposites in astrology are two ends of one axis: what I have and what we share, what I keep and what I risk. A Taurus Venus is often drawn to people with Scorpio’s intensity because they feel certain, and certainty is the thing you prize above charm. They want depth, you want permanence, and for a while those look like the same thing.
Our rule of thumb for this Venus: trust how someone makes your body feel, not how they make your head spin. If you’re calmer after an evening with them than before, that’s the one.
Taurus Venus Style and Money
Venus also rules taste and money, and a Taurus Venus dresses the way it loves: by touch. Astrostyle’s verdict on your wardrobe is “No fast fashion for you!” and that “With your discerning eye and appetite for luxury, you can be a bit of a style snob.” Cashmere over polyester, leather over plastic, the one good coat over five cheap ones. You’d rather own three things you reach for every day than thirty you don’t.
Cafe Astrology says “Venus in Taurus people are attracted to products of high quality and durability”, and that “Harmony and peace are important factors in the art and music they are attracted to.” The same page says they “abhor gawdy, cheap, tacky, or excessively loud/bold art, clothing, and possessions.” At home that means natural fabrics, a candle that’s always lit, a kitchen that smells like something is cooking, and a sofa chosen for how it feels at 11 PM rather than how it photographs.
Money follows the same instinct. Cafe Astrology says this Venus is “typically quite practical and patient when it comes to saving and spending money”, and spends lavishly only on “objects of beauty”, things built to last, and food. Astrostyle makes the same point from the other side: “But you’re also practical and know what to splurge on, and also what to pick up at IKEA and hack it with knobs or paint.” The lapse is buying calm. The expensive dinner after an argument, the blanket bought instead of the conversation. In our view a Taurus Venus should ask one question before spending on comfort: am I enjoying this, or hiding in it? These are habits, not advice. Your money is yours.

The Taurus Venus Woman
The Taurus Venus woman is the person whose house you never want to leave. She’s warm, unhurried and good with her hands, whether that’s cooking, gardening or fixing the thing you said was broken. She loves in a way you can see: the full fridge, the right pillow, the slow Sunday. These are tendencies, not rules, but she is rarely the one who suggests going out when staying in is an option.
In love she wants to be chosen steadily, touched often and never rushed. Her trouble is the silence: she’d rather keep the peace than name the problem, and she can hold a grudge in a very comfortable chair for a very long time. Her growth is saying the uncomfortable thing while the room is still warm.
The Taurus Venus Man
The Taurus Venus man is calmer in love than his Sun sign may suggest. He might be a quick Gemini or a restless Aries elsewhere in the chart, but when he falls for someone he slows down, shows up, and starts cooking. Tendencies, not rules, but he’s the one who remembers how you take your coffee and makes it the same way for a decade.
He’s drawn to warmth, ease and someone who makes a home feel like one: a partner who can sit on the floor with a plate of food and not check their phone. His challenge is the same possessiveness every Taurus Venus knows, and the stubbornness that turns a small disagreement into a standoff. His growth is noticing when he’s holding on out of habit rather than love, and letting go while he still likes the person.
Which Sun Signs Can Have a Taurus Venus?
Five, and the reason is astronomy.
Seen from Earth, Venus never gets far from the Sun. Wikipedia’s page on elongation puts its greatest elongation “between 45° and 47°”, and a footnote on its Thema Mundi page says Venus is “never more than 47.8°” from the Sun. The zodiac is a circle of 360 degrees cut into twelve signs of 30 degrees each, and Taurus is the second sign, so Wikipedia’s Taurus page gives its span as 30° to 60° of the circle.
Put those together, using the 47.8 degree maximum:
- The earliest Sun that can pair with a Venus at 30° (the first degree of Taurus): 30 minus 47.8 = negative 17.8. Add 360 to bring it back onto the circle: 342.2°. Pisces starts at 330°, so that is about 12° Pisces.
- The latest Sun that can pair with a Venus at 60° (the last degree of Taurus): 60 plus 47.8 = 107.8°. Cancer starts at 90°, so that is about 18° Cancer.
So a Taurus Venus needs a Sun somewhere between about 12° Pisces and 18° Cancer. Checked against Cafe Astrology’s Sun ingress times for 2026, the Sun reaches 12.2° Pisces on the afternoon of March 2 (about 3 PM Eastern) and 17.8° Cancer on the evening of July 9 (about 8 PM Eastern); the full sum is in our notes. Dates drift a day either way from year to year, so call the birthday window roughly March 2 to July 9, a little over four months.
Five Sun signs fit inside that window, and people also ask which celebrities have Venus in Taurus, so here is one for each. Every chart below is from Astro Charts:
- Pisces Sun (from about March 2): The thin end. Only the last 18 degrees of Pisces qualify, and Venus has to be ahead of the Sun. Laura Prepon (born March 7, 1980) has the Sun at 17° Pisces and Venus at 1° Taurus, about 44 degrees apart, near the limit of what’s possible. She is the only Pisces on the first page of Astro Charts’ list.
- Aries Sun: Fast identity, slow heart. Saoirse Ronan (born April 12, 1994) has the Sun at 22° Aries and Venus at 13° Taurus, about 21 degrees apart. Leighton Meester (born April 9, 1986) has the Sun at 19° Aries and Venus at 9° Taurus. James Franco (born April 19, 1978) has the Sun at 29° Aries and Venus at 21° Taurus.
- Taurus Sun: Double Taurus. Who you are and how you love speak the same language, and the language is “stay for dinner”. Stephen Amell (born May 8, 1981) has the Sun at 17° Taurus and Venus at 26° Taurus, both in the sign, about 8 degrees apart. Amber Heard (born April 22, 1986) has the Sun at 2° Taurus and Venus at 25° Taurus.
- Gemini Sun: Venus trails the Sun here. Quick on the surface, immovable underneath. Peter Dinklage (born June 11, 1969) has the Sun at 20° Gemini and Venus at 4° Taurus, about 46 degrees apart, right at Venus’s limit.
- Cancer Sun (to about July 9): The other thin end. Only the first 18 degrees of Cancer qualify. Joel Edgerton (born June 23, 1974) has the Sun at 1° Cancer and Venus at 26° Taurus, about 35 degrees apart.
Astro Charts lists 1,706 people with Venus in Taurus. The first 30 names split 12 Aries, 9 Gemini, 6 Taurus, 2 Cancer and 1 Pisces, so Pisces and Cancer were the least common in that first 30. A Pisces or Cancer Sun has only about 18 qualifying degrees, and the earliest Pisces degrees and latest Cancer degrees need Venus at or near its widest gap.
Run the same sum the other way and you get the answer to a question that ranks on the first page of Google: what is your Venus sign if you are a Taurus? A Taurus Sun sits between 30° and 60°, and Venus stays within about 47.8 degrees of it, so Venus can be anywhere from 342.2° (about 12° Pisces) to 107.8° (about 18° Cancer). A Taurus Sun can only have Venus in Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini or Cancer. Never Scorpio, however much that would explain.
If your Sun is in Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn or Aquarius, your Venus is somewhere else, guaranteed. To know for sure, use the free birth chart calculator.

Taurus Venus Compatibility
In our view the easiest matches for any Venus sign are usually the same element and the one that feeds it. For earth, that is the other earth signs and water. Here is how a Taurus Venus tends to pair with the other person’s Venus sign.
| Their Venus | Fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Virgo | Natural | Two earth signs. They notice, you provide, nobody raises their voice |
| Capricorn | Natural | Shared patience and a shared plan. Slow to start, built to last |
| Taurus | Mirror | Heaven on a Sunday. Nobody ever suggests leaving the house |
| Cancer | Supportive | Water feeds earth. They feel it, you hold it, the home is the point |
| Pisces | Supportive | They dream, you make it real. Lovely, as long as someone pays the bill |
| Scorpio | Magnetic | Your opposite sign: they want depth, you want permanence. Intense, loyal, hard to end |
| Libra | Kindred | Venus’s other home. Same planet, different room: you touch, they talk |
| Leo | Work | Fire meets earth. They want to be adored out loud; you adore in private |
| Aquarius | Work | They need room; you need routine. Lasting if you can share a calendar |
| Aries | Work | They move fast; you don’t move. Fun while it burns, then it’s a negotiation |
| Gemini | Work | They need variety; you need the same thing, again. Translation required |
| Sagittarius | Work | They want the horizon; you want the hearth. Great for a holiday |
A “Work” pairing isn’t a bad one. It means the two of you have to translate, and a Taurus Venus translates slowly but thoroughly. The full picture, with every Venus sign and the elements explained, is in our Venus sign compatibility guide. And the whole chart counts: a Taurus Venus with a Gemini Sun loves very differently from one with a Cancer Sun.
Venus in Taurus Through the Houses
Your Venus sign says how you love. The house it sits in says where that love shows up most: which part of life gets the warmth, the taste and the stubbornness.
The 4th house is the question people ask: what does it mean to have Venus in Taurus in the 4th house? Wikipedia’s page on the houses says “The Fourth House represents home, family, and the emotional roots that provide stability.” So a Taurus Venus in the 4th house loves from the kitchen. Home is where your affection lives and where it’s most visible: you make your house the warmest place your partner has ever been, you’re loyal to your family even when they don’t deserve it, and you’d rather host than go out, every time. You’re attracted to people who want roots. One more thing follows. If you count whole sign houses, where each house is one whole sign, Taurus in the 4th house means Aries is your 3rd, Pisces is your 2nd and Aquarius is your 1st: you have Aquarius rising. A cool, independent first impression with the coziest Venus in the zodiac waiting at home.
The 2nd house is where Astrostyle’s title puts Venus in Taurus, because Taurus and the 2nd house share a theme. Wikipedia says “The Second House relates to personal resources, material possessions” and what you value. Venus in Taurus here is comfort squared: you love beautiful things, you’re good at earning and keeping money, and you show affection by giving gifts that last. The risk is confusing being loved with being provided for.
The 7th house is the partnership house. Wikipedia says “The Seventh House governs relationships, including marriage, business partnerships, and legal contracts.” A Taurus Venus here wants one person, for good, with a ring and a shared sofa. You attract steady, sensual partners and you’re at your best as half of something that isn’t going anywhere.
The other nine, one line each:
- 1st house: Warmth is the first thing people notice. You’re attractive in the oldest sense: people want to stand near you.
- 3rd house: You love through words that are slow and kind, and you keep the peace with siblings and neighbors by feeding them.
- 5th house: Romance, pleasure and making things with your hands come easily. You date like it’s a long, good meal.
- 6th house: Loyalty at work. You want a pleasant desk, a reliable routine and colleagues who bring snacks.
- 8th house: Deep, committed intimacy and shared money. You want what’s merged to be permanent.
- 9th house: You fall for people from elsewhere, and for the food, music and landscapes of places far from home.
- 10th house: Your steadiness is public. You’re known for taste and reliability, and partnership shapes your career.
- 11th house: Friends are family. You’re the one whose house the group ends up at, and who keeps the same friends for life.
- 12th house: Private love, quiet generosity and a tendency to give far more comfort than anyone sees.
When Is Venus in Taurus?
Not right now. As this page goes up, Venus is retrograde and turns direct on November 13, 2026 at 22° Libra, according to Cafe Astrology’s table of Venus retrogrades. Its next visit to Taurus, from Cafe Astrology’s 2027 calendar, runs from May 14, 2027 at 5:01 PM Eastern (4:01 PM Central, 3:01 PM Mountain, 2:01 PM Pacific) until June 8, 2027 at 8:32 AM Eastern, when it enters Gemini. That’s about 25 days.
The recent visits, all from Cafe Astrology:
| Year | In Taurus | Length |
|---|---|---|
| 2025 | June 6 to July 4 | 28 days |
| 2026 | March 30 to April 24 | 25 days |
| 2027 | May 14 to June 8 | About 25 days |
The last three visits ran 25 to 28 days. Here is a data point from DataForSEO. Its monthly United States search figures for “taurus venus” peaked at 5,400 in June 2025, the month Venus entered Taurus, against 2,400 in each of October, November and December 2025. That is 5,400 divided by 2,400 = 2.25 times the autumn level. March and April 2026, when Venus was in Taurus from March 30 to April 24, were 4,400 each. Other months also reached 4,400 with no transit: March 2025, May 2025, June 2026 and July 2026.
Were you born with Venus retrograde in Taurus? If you were born after September 3, 2023 and before the end of 2028, no. Venus turns retrograde for a few weeks roughly every year and a half: Cafe Astrology puts it at approximately 40 to 43 days every 18 months, and the sum from Venus’s synodic period gives about 19 months, close to that rounder figure (583.92 days, divided by 30.44 days in a month, is 19.2 months). None of the recent cycles touches Taurus. Cafe Astrology’s pages give the 2023 retrograde as July 22 to September 3 in Leo, the 2025 one as March 1 to April 12 from 10° Aries back to 24° Pisces, the 2026 one as October 3 to November 13 in Scorpio and Libra, no Venus retrograde at all in 2027, and the 2028 one as May 10 to June 22 in Gemini, from 19° Gemini back to 3° Gemini. In the three cycles with degrees listed, Venus backs up about 16 degrees, and the 2023 one stayed in Leo, two signs past Gemini. None of them reaches Taurus, so a Taurus Venus born in those years is direct, full stop. Older charts can differ: check yours.
What does a few weeks of Venus in Taurus mean for everyone? The whole zodiac gets Taurus’s Venus for a while: more cooking, more cuddling, more wanting things to stay as they are, more spending on the house, and more trouble leaving it. In our view it’s the best stretch of the year to slow a relationship down on purpose, and the worst one to try to rush anybody. If this is your natal placement, a direct visit like 2027’s carries Venus over your own Venus degree exactly once. We recommend using that visit to ask for the comfort you want in full sentences, instead of waiting for someone to notice.
Growing With a Taurus Venus
- Let something change before it breaks. Pick one routine, restaurant or habit you’ve kept out of loyalty rather than pleasure, and swap it this month. You’ll find out that comfort survives the change. That’s the whole lesson, in small.
- Say what you want instead of waiting to be read. Your love language is doing, so you assume your partner’s is too, and you wait for them to notice the thing you need. Say it once, plainly: “I want a night in with you this week.” It costs nothing and it works.
- Keep the comfort and lose the clinging. The hand on someone’s back is love. The hand that tightens when they reach for the door is fear. Practice the first and notice the second, and the people you love will stay closer, not further.
When loyalty stops being a grip and becomes a choice, a Taurus Venus becomes the rarest kind of partner: someone who makes love feel safe without ever making it feel small.
Taurus Venus FAQ
Why is Taurus ruled by Venus? Because Venus is never more than two signs from the Sun. In the Thema Mundi, the Hellenistic chart of the world’s birth, the Moon got Cancer and the Sun got Leo, Mercury got the signs next to them (Gemini and Virgo) because it never travels more than one sign from the Sun, and Venus got the next two out, Taurus and Libra. Taurus is the one on the Moon’s side.
What’s the worst Venus placement? By the traditional table Venus is weakest in Aries and Scorpio (detriment) and Virgo (fall), and strongest in Taurus and Libra (home) and Pisces (exalted). In our view “worst” is the wrong word. A Venus in detriment or fall has to work harder at love, and people who work at love often get very good at it. None of it measures luck.
What does it mean to have Venus in Taurus in the 4th house? You love from home. The 4th house covers home, family and roots, so a Taurus Venus there makes the house the warmest place your partner has ever been, stays loyal to family, prefers hosting to going out and is attracted to people who want roots. With whole sign houses, Taurus in the 4th also means you have Aquarius rising.
What celebrities have Venus in Taurus? Astro Charts lists 1,706 people with the placement, including Laura Prepon (Pisces Sun), Saoirse Ronan, Leighton Meester and James Franco (Aries Suns), Stephen Amell and Amber Heard (Taurus Suns), Peter Dinklage (Gemini Sun) and Joel Edgerton (Cancer Sun). Their degrees are in the Sun sign section above.
What is Taurus Venus attracted to? Warmth, calm, good food and good smells, physical ease, and people who are exactly what they say they are. Scorpio energy pulls hardest, because Scorpio is Taurus’s opposite sign and feels certain. A Taurus Venus wants to relax, not to be impressed.
Is Venus in Taurus good? By tradition, yes: Taurus is one of the two signs Venus rules, so Venus is in its domicile here, the dignity Wikipedia’s domicile page calls the strongest of the five and the essential dignity page scores at +5. Good means Venus does Venus things easily: attraction, pleasure, loyalty, taste. It does not promise luck, and the challenges (possessiveness, stubbornness, staying too long) are real.
What is your Venus sign if you are a Taurus? One of five. A Taurus Sun sits between 30° and 60° of the zodiac, and Venus stays within about 47.8 degrees of the Sun, so your Venus is in Pisces (from about 12°), Aries, Taurus, Gemini or Cancer (to about 18°). Never Scorpio, Libra or anything else. The free birth chart calculator linked above tells you which.
How do I know my Venus sign? Start with your Sun. Venus is never more than about 48 degrees from it, so a Taurus Venus is only possible with a Sun in Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini or Cancer, birthdays from about March 2 to July 9. To know for sure, enter your birth date, time and place in our free birth chart calculator, linked above.
Is a Taurus Venus rare? No. Venus spent 28 days in Taurus in 2025 and 25 in 2026, and visits for about 25 days again in 2027. Astro Charts alone lists 1,706 famous people with the placement. The rare ends are the Pisces and Cancer Suns: only about 18 degrees of each qualify, and the earliest Pisces degrees and latest Cancer degrees need Venus at or near its widest gap.
Is a Taurus Venus the same as a Taurus Sun? No. Your Sun sign is your identity; your Venus sign is how you love. You can have a Taurus Venus with a Pisces, Aries, Gemini or Cancer Sun, and a Taurus Sun can have its Venus in Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini or Cancer. If both are in Taurus, you’re a double Taurus, and everything on this page is turned up.
